Fall has finally crept upon us, but of course with fashion always been at least a season and a half ahead the Spring 2009 RTW Topshop Unique line has been released - and it definitely ain't for the (old and) faint of heart. If you know me (personally), you know I'm not too fond of Topshop, but this collection has given me a slight change of heart and I'm proud to admit it.
"There was nothing profound about the love-heart prints, jumpsuits, parachute-silk batwing tops, and reruns of teddy boy and new wave tailoring, and it was a relief. Trying too hard isn't a good look for either Topshop's customers or a high-street brand, however on-it the brand might be. Result: For the first time since it debuted in 2005, this collection stopped pretending to be what it isn't, and came over as genuinely young."
This season, Ben Sherman asked British Designers PPQ, notorious for beautiful dresses, to create a range to illustrate & revive musical style. The collection consists of 5 dresses, one for each era, which instantly gives the 'decade' an identity.

The next ten days will be exhilarating, invigorating, breathtaking, electrifying, overwhelming, rousing, sensational, stimulating, titillating, wild and to say the least, zestful. I will do all, see all, be all I can be. It may get a tad bit out of hand, but only trouble comes with the letters l.i.v.s.+.l.e.s.l.i.e, innit?
Hoping I'll get to catch the last of the action from Fashion Week...
